BPTree.postorder_rank(i)[source]#

Postorder rank of a node.

Parameters:

iint: Index of the node to evaluate.

Returns:

int: The position of node i in a postorder traversal of the tree, counting from 1: the root’s rank is the number of nodes.

Notes

Returns the node’s integer position in postorder, not a node object. This differs from postorder, which yields the nodes of the tree in postorder. The inverse of postorder_select.
