BPTree.lca(i, j)

The lowest common ancestor of two nodes.

Parameters:

iint

A node index to evaluate. Either parenthesis of a node names it.

jint

A node index to evaluate. Either parenthesis of a node names it.

Returns:

int

The index (opening parenthesis) of the lowest common ancestor. A node is its own lowest common ancestor, and the order of i and j does not matter.
