BPTree.close_batch(i, engine=None)[source]#

Matching closing parenthesis of each position in a batch.

The batch counterpart of close: one independent query per element of i, computed by the selected engine.

Parameters:

iarray-like of int: Positions to evaluate.
engine{‘cython’, ‘numba’, ‘fast’}, optional: The compute engine. Defaults to the global compute_engine option. 'fast' is chosen per tree: see the Notes of BPTree.

Returns:

array of intp: close(i) for each position, in the shape of i. It is a NumPy array unless i is an array of another backend, whose backend and device it then has (see BPTree).
